bay window which
can be installed into standard brickwork in a fraction of the time
of traditional
bay window construction. The new design is available in three sizes
based around a
lightweight steel frame for consistent high quality.
The new Modular bay Window is NHBC approved and is available in
all Ibstock brick or
stone finishes and be can either pre-pointed or un-finished for
pointing on site. In
addition GRC heads, cills, mullions and jambs are available to match
other masonry
and stonework products.
The Modular Bay Window is approximately half the weight of a traditional
masonry
built bay window. It is designed to be installed with the help of
a rough terrain
fork lift truck, and is supplied with a lifting frame which is removed
after
installation.
The new window is designed to be installed on a ground level damp
proof course
(DPC), with DPCs fitted around openings ready for windows and a
glass reinforced
polymer (GRC) canopy. Standard thermal performance is 0.34 W/m2K,
which can be
reduced to 0.20W/m2K with plasterboard and thermal insulation in
the frame void.
